Hi there! We’re Mackenzie and Logan Benter - University of Dubuque Alumni and parents with two energetic little ones who keep us constantly on the move. Like many, we had no idea what to expect when it came to raising little ones. The chaos, the fatigue, and the overwhelming love they bring—it’s been the most incredible and indescribable journey of our lives! Our two daughters, Hadley and Wrenley, have forever changed our life and for that, we are so grateful. We thrive on chaos, as they say!

Born and raised in Elkhorn, WI, Mackenzie grew up watching her parents build and operate both a dairy farm and a coffee shop—instilling in her a deep appreciation for hard work, entrepreneurship, and community. She took that same drive to the University of Dubuque, where she played collegiate softball and earned her degree in Sports Management.

After working as a wellness coordinator and becoming a mom to two little ones, Mackenzie knew her heart was pulling her in a new direction. She envisioned a space where parents could truly be present, and kids could be free to play—a place designed with both in mind. Inspired by her experience helping build her family’s coffee shop from the ground up and her strong, hands-on work ethic as a farmer’s daughter, she set out to bring that vision to life.

Mackenzie is passionate about fostering a welcoming, inclusive community—no matter where you are on your journey. As a mom, she understands the need for a space where families can feel supported, connected, and at home.

Hailing from Marion, IA, Logan made his way to the University of Dubuque, where he double-majored in Accounting and Business while making his mark as a standout linebacker on the football team. After graduating, he stepped into the corporate world as a Revenue Accountant but quickly realized that his true passion lay in hands-on work. That realization led him back to Dubuque, where he now works alongside his uncle at Benter Construction.

Marrying Mackenzie introduced Logan to farm life, which he has come to love—especially as a girl dad to their two beautiful daughters. But no matter where life takes them, Dubuque remains home. Deeply rooted in this community, Logan is passionate about building not just structures, but a space where families can connect, grow, and feel a true sense of belonging.
