LITTLE GOOSE: COMMUNITY IN ACTION
An Experiential Learning Field Trip at Goose & Giggles
Welcome to a field trip where our play cafe becomes a town and your students become the people who make it work!
Little Goose: Community in Action is a hands-on, play-based field trip designed to introduce young learners to careers, life skills, shared responsibility and the importance of community.
Students will travel through the Goose & Giggles villages, taking on real-world roles, completing age-appropriate activities and discovering how the different people and businesses within a community work together.
🏦 START AT CAPRA BANK
Every community needs a bank! Students will visit Capra Bank to receive their Goose Bucks for the day. We'll introduce the basics of earning, saving and spending — and they'll have some decisions to make about how they use their money throughout our town!
🚗 PURCHASE A CAR
Time for some wheels! Students can visit our dealership, choose a vehicle, look at the price and use their Goose Bucks to make their purchase. Once the transaction is complete, it's time to take their new ride for a test drive around town!
⛽ MAKE A KWIK STOP
Cars need fuel and people need snacks! Students will stop by our Kwik Stop Convenience Store, where they'll practice everyday life skills like choosing an item, checking its price, making a purchase and interacting with the cashier.
🐾 BECOME A GOODLIFE VETERINARIAN
Time to care for the animals! Students will perform check-ups, help their furry patients and learn about the responsibility involved in caring for animals.
🌾 WORK ON THE FARM
Where does our food come from? Students will care for farm animals, harvest crops and discover how agriculture plays a role in our everyday lives.
🔨 HEAD TO THE CONSTRUCTION SITE
Grab a hard hat! Students will work together to build, repair and problem-solve while discovering why builders and tradespeople are so important to growing communities.
🧁 BAKE AT CANDLE READY CAKES
Students become bakers as they work together to create something special for their classmates to enjoy. We'll talk about following directions, creating a product and working together to serve others.
💪 GET MOVING WITH BURN BOOT CAMP
A healthy community starts with healthy people! Students will participate in a short, kid-friendly movement challenge while learning about exercise, taking care of our bodies, encouragement and teamwork.
🚒 BECOME A FIRST RESPONDER
Students will explore what it means to help others, respond when someone needs assistance and work together to keep their community safe.
🧹 TAKE CARE OF OUR COMMUNITY
Being part of a community isn't only about the places we visit — it's also about how we leave them.
At Goose & Giggles, we believe we take care of the places we visit and the spaces we share. That's why group clean-up is part of every Little Goose Community experience!
Students will work together to return toys and materials to their homes, tidy their workspaces and leave our little town ready for the next group.
It's a simple activity with a BIG lesson: when everyone helps, taking care of our community becomes everyone's responsibility.
AND THEN... BACK TO THE BANK! 🏦
Before our field trip ends, students can return to Capra Bank and see what they have left. Did I spend my Goose Bucks? Did I earn more? Do I have some left? Could I save some for another day?
It's a simple, age-appropriate introduction to earning, spending and saving that connects everything they've experienced throughout the field trip.
MORE THAN PLAY.
Throughout Little Goose: Community in Action, we're intentionally developing:
